About the Role
ChargePoint is looking for an AI Engineer who will design, develop, and operate production‑grade Generative AI systems. You will architect and deliver LLM‑powered applications, including Copilot‑style experiences, AI agents, and automation at enterprise scale. You will operate with high autonomy, own complex technical initiatives end‑to‑end, and influence GenAI architecture and standards across teams.
What You Will Be Doing
- Assist in developing and training ML, deep learning, and NLP models.
- Support senior engineers in building and maintaining data pipelines.
- Implement basic preprocessing, feature engineering, and data validation tasks.
- Contribute to testing, evaluating, and optimizing model performance.
- Help deploy models into staging or production under guidance.
- Write clean, well‑documented Python code for AI experiments and prototypes.
- Work with APIs, model inference scripts, and small‑scale automation tasks.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand requirements.
- Stay updated with emerging AI tools, frameworks, and techniques.
Required Skills & Experience
- 4+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering or relevant academic projects.
- Solid programming skills in Python and ML libraries (NumPy, Pandas, scikit‑learn).
- Basic understanding of deep learning frameworks (PyTorch/TensorFlow).
- Exposure to NLP, LLMs, or computer vision projects (academic or internships acceptable).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) is a plus.
- Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and model evaluation metrics.
- Strong analytical thinking and willingness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands‑on experience with ML projects, hackathons, or research work.
- Knowledge of Git, Docker, or basic MLOps concepts.
- Understanding of vector databases, embeddings, or RAG is a plus.
