About KRAFTON AI Research Division
Since 2021, KRAFTON has been focusing on deep learning research as an area to expand its game production capabilities and pursue new challenges, actively investing in recruiting key talent to accelerate its efforts.
The KRAFTON AI Research Division collaborates with various internal and external teams to provide AI solutions for diverse problems and develops proprietary deep learning technologies. Its vision encompasses two main directions:
- Development of deep learning technologies to assist game production, thereby increasing efficiency and universality in game development.
- Development of Multi-modal LLM-based Foundation Models for users to play games together.
Foundation Model R&D
The Foundation Model Research team contributes to creating new play experiences by researching and developing core MLLM technologies based on the vision of the AI Research Division.
- Design and build foundation models that handle diverse data such as text, images, audio, and game logs.
- Accumulate theoretical and practical insights across model architecture, learning algorithms, data pipelines, and evaluation processes in large-scale distributed learning environments.
Culture Fit
Members of the AI Research Division interact and collaborate with team members from various fields through diverse projects, presenting creative ideas for various problems. A culture that encourages free expression of opinions regardless of age or rank is fostered. The team is composed of individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds, and active support, such as translation and interpretation, is provided to overcome language barriers for smooth communication.
Responsibilities
- Conduct large-scale Multi-modal LLM training and advanced research.
- Enhance modeling, data, and evaluation pipelines to improve model performance.
- Present research outcomes as Tech Reports or papers/workshops at top-tier conferences like NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML.
Required Qualifications
- Eligible for new enlistment as a professional research personnel (전문연구요원) by 2026 (Master's degree or higher, or completion of integrated Master's/Ph.D. program).
- Master's or Ph.D. in a deep learning-related field, or equivalent research experience.
- Experience in writing papers for top-tier AI/ML conferences (NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML, etc.) or journals.
- Ability to lead research, quickly understand deep learning papers, and design experiments.
- Ability to quickly adapt to new domains.
- Excellent communication skills.
- No disqualifications for overseas business trips.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in presenting/winning awards at top-tier AI/ML conferences (NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML, etc.).
- Experience in training/deploying large-scale Foundation Models (20B parameters or more).
