Organization Unit Purpose:
Emirates NBD is one of the largest banks in the Middle East, with over USD 6Bn in revenues and 14000 employees globally. As part of its strategic mandate, the bank has recently setup its Advanced Analytics Centre of Excellence for driving ENBD’s ambitious advanced analytics agenda across ENBD group.
Core objectives of the center include:
- Deliver 500-800 Mn AED business impact through a series of use cases/ AA projects executed in collaboration with the BU’s
- Instill a data driven culture across ENBD by building organization wide capabilities in advanced analytics
The CoE will act as an enabler to the BUs to deploy advanced analytics models to drive smarter decisions across different domains. It will act as a guiding light to BUs to ideate on what’s possible with advanced analytics, help them prioritize these ideas, and pilot and productionalize them through cross-functional AA squads.
It will house highly skilled data scientists, data engineers and other digital talent that will be an integral part of cross-functional squads that execute AA projects.
The AA agenda is a high visibility and high priority initiative for ENBD group. AA CoE will be governed at ExCo level, including impact tracking, a ringfenced budget & performance management.
Job Purpose
The Analytics Delivery Lead (ADL) supports the implementation of an analytics use case working in liaison between business unit, CoE, and other functions, e.g., IT.
Analytics Delivery Leads are a critical part of the squad due to the very specific nature of their role: a blend of project management skills, technical skills, and domain knowledge to support the successful delivery of an analytics use case.

Successful delivery of analytics use cases:
Business Collaboration
- Problem solve with squad members to generate impactful analytics insights
- Support BAP to provide progress and impact updates to BU leadership and collaborate to resolve implementation challenges
- Collect and prioritize feedback between BU and squad to iteratively improve the use case during each development stage
- Support and engage the relevant business stakeholder teams to deliver the use case impact and de-bottleneck
- Promote successful adoption of model insights by business / move BU to adopt new ways of working to utilize analytics insights
- Support in value and performance tracking of use case impact
Squad Support
- Support the squad in sprint planning, key agile ceremonies, day-to-day activities and backlog
- Help technical squad members by translating business requirements and customer feedback into analytical language
- Reviewing and providing feedback on business implications of output of the technical team
- Support Business Analytics Partner on the day-to-day tasks, e.g., value and performance tracking, liaising with relevant stakeholders
Collaborate with BU and BAP to define opportunities for analytics impact:
- Work closely with BAP and Business sponsors to help identifying key business problems/strategic needs
- Work with BAP to effectively translate business needs into potential new use cases
- Facilitate BAP and Business in prioritization of identified use cases based on key KPIs, e.g., impact and feasibility
- Help build understanding and enthusiasm for the potential of analytics across the organization
Qualification & Years of Experience:
- Master’s degree – Desirable
- 2+ experience with deep domain expertise in one of the following is Essential:
- Risk and Credit functions
- Compliance, Screening, Anti-Money Laundering and Fraud Monitoring
- Retail Banking and Wealth Management
- Experience in agile working environments
- Previous experience as part of analytics projects
