As a Backend Software Engineer (Evals) at openai, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend systems that support the evaluation and testing of AI models. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of our systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable and efficient backend systems using Python and Node.js.
- Develop and maintain machine learning models and algorithms to support evaluation and testing of AI models.
- Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to integrate machine learning models with backend systems.
- Ensure the security and integrity of our systems and data.
- Work with the DevOps team to ensure the smooth deployment and operation of our systems.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in backend software development with a focus on scalability and performance.
- Strong proficiency in Python and Node.js, with experience in machine learning and AWS.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
