We are seeking a skilled ChatGPT Performance Engineer to join our team at OpenAI. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and optimizing the performance of ChatGPT, a conversational AI that enables users to engage in natural-sounding conversations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, with expertise in machine learning, cloud computing, and distributed systems. You will work closely with our cross-functional team to identify performance bottlenecks, design and implement solutions, and collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and optimize the performance of ChatGPT, including its architecture, algorithms, and data processing pipelines.
- Collaborate with our machine learning team to develop and deploy new models and features that improve the performance and accuracy of ChatGPT.
- Work with our cloud engineering team to design and implement scalable and efficient cloud infrastructure for ChatGPT.
- Identify and troubleshoot performance issues, and develop and implement solutions to resolve them.
- Collaborate with other teams, including product, design, and research, to ensure seamless integration and alignment with business goals.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong background in machine learning, cloud computing, and distributed systems.
- Expertise in Python, Node.js, and AWS, with experience in designing and optimizing large-scale systems.
- Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, and software design patterns.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems, such as Git.
