The Role

As the WI AI Engineering Chapter Team Leader, you blend deep knowledge of software engineering, data engineering and machine learning engineering with a passion for coaching, mentoring, and developing associates. You are deeply committed to improving the value delivered to our customers.

In an agile structure you will collaborate with other leaders to establish the standards for your chapter, influence the strategic decisions and build solutions domain to your expertise. You will directly manage a team of chapter members who primarily work within squads across product areas but report directly to you. You will work with a Squad as a technical leader to ensure engineering best practices and delivery of the squad’s projects.

The Expertise And Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science / similar technical subject area
  • 15+ years of work experience in large-scale, sophisticated systems development initiatives focused on Data, Analytics, Machine Learning, and similar areas with hands-on, managerial experience
  • Strong experience working with AWS Services especially related to data and analytics – S3, EC2, Lambda, Glue, SNS, SQS, Sagemaker required.
  • Extensive experience working with machine learning models with respect to deployment, scoring (inference), tuning and measurement required.
  • Experience working with Python modules and libraries for data manipulations and extractions
  • Experience developing APIs using Java / Spring Boot and deployment on EKS/Rancher/Kubernetes a plus
  • Critical thinking and the ability to work in an agile environment
  • Prior experience successfully leading Technology Lifecycle Management (TLM) required
  • Experience identifying and acquiring strategic talent needs, strategic resource planning, and talent allocation
  • Experience working in a matrixed organization required.
  • Experience working in Financial Services Industry preferred
  • Strong experience in removing team’s blocker
  • Strong problem resolution skills required
  • Stakeholder management
