We are looking for a proactive and strategic individual to lead our machine learning and advanced analytics department. This role involves managing a team of data scientists, overseeing project budgets, hiring qualified personnel, and managing RFPs within the department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine learning, advanced analytics, and strategic management.
Responsibilities
- Direct and oversee the development and implementation of advanced analytics and machine learning strategies to drive business decisions.
- Manage the recruitment, training, and development of a highly skilled team of data scientists.
- Oversee the department's budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources.
- Be responsible for managing and responding to RFPs within the machine learning and advanced analytics area.
- Collaborate with other department heads and executives to align departmental strategy with overall business objectives.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, technology, and best practices in machine learning and advanced analytics.
- Maintain a high standard of data integrity and predictive reliability.
- Present data-driven insights to stakeholders and make recommendations based on these insights.
- Lead the development and execution of advanced analytic models and machine learning algorithms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the business requirements and provide data-driven solutions.
- Manage the implementation of machine learning models into production and monitor their performance.
- Develop strategies for data collection, data mining, and analysis to optimize quality and performance.
- Utilize AI/Machine Learning to improve operational efficiency in the telecommunications domain.
- Stay updated with latest technology trends in AI, machine learning, and data science and drive new analytics initiatives and projects.
- Present complex data insights in a clear, concise manner to stakeholders.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to data science teams.
- Ensure compliance with data governance and data security requirements.
Qualifications
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field is preferable.
- Significant experience in a leadership role within machine learning or advanced analytics.
- Proven experience in managing a team of data scientists.
- Strong knowledge of machine learning methodologies and predictive modeling.
- Excellent skills in strategic planning and budget management.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Proven experience in a leadership role in the field of data science or machine learning.
- Strong experience in building and deploying machine learning models, predictive modeling, and statistical analysis.
- Expertise in programming languages like Python, R, SQL, and proficiency in using AI/ML platforms, tools, and libraries.
- Deep understanding of machine learning algorithms, data analysis, and both supervised and unsupervised learning.
- Experience in a telecommunication environment is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
