Role description

As Cuva AI’s Founding CTO, you’ll define and drive the company’s technical roadmap, establish engineering best practices, and build a high-performing engineering culture. You’ll work closely with the CEO and design partners to convert breakthrough AI research into real-world solutions for enterprise banking clients.

This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in early-stage environments and wants to co-build the future of agentic AI.

What You’ll Do

  • Define and execute the technical vision and architecture of Cuva’s AI agent platform.
  • Build, lead, and mentor a world-class engineering team from the ground up.
  • Collaborate with design partners and customers to ensure our product meets real industry needs.
  • Translate recent advancements in LLMs and agentic workflows into scalable systems.
  • Oversee development cycles and ensure rapid iteration and delivery of high-quality code.
  • Own the infrastructure, security, and scalability of the platform.
  • Work closely with the CEO on product strategy, fundraising, and go-to-market plans.

Who are you (Qualifications)

  • 4+ years of engineering experience, including technical leadership roles.
  • Proven experience building and scaling AI/ML platforms and leading high-impact teams.
  • Deep understanding of AI agent architectures, LLM fine-tuning, and distributed ML systems.
  • Hands-on experience with modern AI/ML stacks: Python, PyTorch, LangChain, FastAPI, or equivalent.
  • Strong product sense and ability to bridge technical decisions with business outcomes.
  • Familiarity with building or managing infrastructure on cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, AWS).
  • Passion for solving complex problems and shaping technical culture from day one.

Nice to have

  • Experience from leading AI companies such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Meta, Google, or other similar companies
  • Experience working in fintech, banking, or enterprise SaaS.
  • Familiarity with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) systems.
  • Experience designing or implementing agentic workflows (multi-agent systems, planning, tool use).
