Role description
As Cuva AI’s Founding CTO, you’ll define and drive the company’s technical roadmap, establish engineering best practices, and build a high-performing engineering culture. You’ll work closely with the CEO and design partners to convert breakthrough AI research into real-world solutions for enterprise banking clients.
This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in early-stage environments and wants to co-build the future of agentic AI.
What You’ll Do
- Define and execute the technical vision and architecture of Cuva’s AI agent platform.
- Build, lead, and mentor a world-class engineering team from the ground up.
- Collaborate with design partners and customers to ensure our product meets real industry needs.
- Translate recent advancements in LLMs and agentic workflows into scalable systems.
- Oversee development cycles and ensure rapid iteration and delivery of high-quality code.
- Own the infrastructure, security, and scalability of the platform.
- Work closely with the CEO on product strategy, fundraising, and go-to-market plans.
Who are you (Qualifications)
- 4+ years of engineering experience, including technical leadership roles.
- Proven experience building and scaling AI/ML platforms and leading high-impact teams.
- Deep understanding of AI agent architectures, LLM fine-tuning, and distributed ML systems.
- Hands-on experience with modern AI/ML stacks: Python, PyTorch, LangChain, FastAPI, or equivalent.
- Strong product sense and ability to bridge technical decisions with business outcomes.
- Familiarity with building or managing infrastructure on cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, AWS).
- Passion for solving complex problems and shaping technical culture from day one.
Nice to have
- Experience from leading AI companies such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Meta, Google, or other similar companies
- Experience working in fintech, banking, or enterprise SaaS.
- Familiarity with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) systems.
- Experience designing or implementing agentic workflows (multi-agent systems, planning, tool use).
