We manage hundreds of large data sets and ingest billions of data points every week - from surveys to large observational data streams, and our team of Data Scientists, Statisticians and Machine Learning Engineers are developing new and cutting-edge solutions to extract insights and meaning from these data sets to answer the ever changing questions and problems our clients are trying to solve.

The Opportunity

Our Data and Insights Team, which draws specialists from the existing group companies, and brings them together in a newly formed hub, is looking for a Head of Data Science with a focus on ML and AI to join us.

Together with this growing team of like minded players from a variety of backgrounds you will explore and develop new approaches on how to handle, enhance, connect, analyze and transform data sets to extract and present meaningful insights to help our clients understand and answer human questions. We fully expect that together with the team you will develop and architect groundbreaking work that you will be proud to present at conferences.

What you bring:

You are familiar with the latest tools and approaches of the trade, and you can demonstrate through projects you have done that you can both ideate solutions and turn them into demonstrable working projects. You have worked with distributed systems, write scripts and probably have a GitHub repository with projects you can show us.

Professional Skills:

  • Master's degree or above in computer science or software/computer/IT engineering fields or equivalent experience (MOOCs)
  • At least 6 years of work experience in Machine Learning.
  • Mastery of Python and the PyData stack and other ML tools
  • Mastery of classical machine learning algorithms for clustering, classification, regression, data preprocessing
  • Experience with Knowledge Graphs
  • Experience in designing and implementing complex Machine Learning pipelines, from feature storage to model serving
  • Experience with AWS or other cloud services to build machine learning delivery systems
  • Proven ability to successfully lead teams in person and remotely,, and plan and deliver projects on time
  • Excellent, conference presentation ready communication skills
  • Excellent written and spoken English
