About Returning.AI
At Returning.AI, we build gamified loyalty and retention systems for CFD brokerages, serving enterprise clients. We are a profitable, fast-growing team of 10-15 people based in Singapore. Our product integrates into broker client portals, driving trader engagement through rewards, challenges, and lifecycle campaigns, involving real integrations, operational complexity, and commercial stakes. We are looking for someone to work closely with the founder, bring structure to chaos, and advance the team.
Why this role exists
The founder is currently heavily involved in the product loop, handling everything from refining ideas to aligning design and engineering, pressure-testing requirements, and identifying gaps. This bottleneck needs to be addressed. We need someone who can independently take on this load, think clearly in ambiguous situations, communicate effectively across functions, leverage AI extensively, and convert raw ideas into actionable plans swiftly.
What you will actually do
- Run the day-to-day product operating loop: Keep design, engineering, QA, and founder priorities aligned. Understand what is in motion, blocked, unclear, and what needs to happen next.
- Turn messy inputs into buildable work: Convert founder ideas, client requests, internal discussions, rough sketches, Slack threads, and half-made decisions into clear briefs, specs, priorities, edge cases, and next steps.
- Prototype directly: Use tools like Codex, Claude Code, or similar to mock flows, pressure-test ideas, build lightweight internal tools, and validate feasibility before consuming engineering time.
- Read docs and figure things out: Be able to read API documentation, inspect payloads, understand auth flows, test endpoints, and comprehend system integrations. You need to be technically proficient enough to reduce ambiguity.
- Bridge product and engineering: Communicate with engineers concretely and usefully while preserving business intent. Identify and address vague, broken, duplicated, or unnecessary requirements early.
- Use AI as a default working tool: Integrate AI into your thinking, writing, analysis, prototyping, research, structuring, and problem-solving processes. Constant AI usage is expected to increase output and compress feedback loops.
- Solve creatively under imperfect conditions: Find workable paths forward in raw product states, when ideal systems are absent, or when client needs validly exceed current product capabilities, without introducing unnecessary complexity.
- Own follow-through: Ensure important decisions translate into clear action rather than remaining stagnant in discussions.
Must haves
- Singaporean or PR
- Degree in Computer Science, Business, Entrepreneurship, or a related field
- Real exposure to AI tools such as Claude Code, Codex, LLM workflows, or similar
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Enough technical comfort to read docs, follow API flows, and wire simple things up
Who we are looking for
- Strong communicator: Ability to clearly explain technical constraints, summarize discussions into actionable steps, and reduce confusion.
- AI-native in practice: Demonstrated use of tools like Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, ChatGPT, or similar as an integral part of your workflow.
- Technically comfortable: Comfortable reading API docs, understanding JSON, tracing request flows, reasoning about data shape, and connecting simple components.
- Product-minded: Capable of defining the smallest useful version, challenging ideas that don't make sense, and linking business value to execution.
- High agency: Proactive in investigating, clarifying, prototyping, escalating, or resolving missing, unclear, blocked, or drifting items.
- Good under ambiguity: Comfortable entering half-formed situations and helping to create the necessary structure.
- Creative but grounded: Able to piece concepts together, identify non-obvious solutions, and think laterally, while remaining practical about tradeoffs and execution speed.
