About the Role
This role involves end-to-end ownership of Data Science workstreams for a business unit within PhonePe. The Lead Data Scientist will lead key data science initiatives and mentor junior Data Scientists.
Requirements
- Strong grip on Spark, Python, and SQL.
- Hands-on experience in deploying models through ML Flow and orchestrating workflows through Airflow.
- Ability to write production-level codes.
- Strong understanding of traditional ML algorithms and deep learning algorithms.
- Ability to explain the workings of these algorithms and tweak their source code as needed.
- Experience in working in a product environment, building solutions that can drive impact at scale (100 million+).
- Past experience in personalization at scale is a plus.
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into data science problem statements, while identifying the right metrics to track.
- Ability to bring an outside-in perspective and drive innovation through data science in business units.
- Ability to lead multiple work streams while focusing on hands-on development in a single workstream.
- Product experience and building and deploying deep learning solutions at scale is a good-to-have experience.
