We are in search of an experienced and dynamic Lead Data Scientist to join our client's forward-thinking team. As the Lead Machine Learning Engineer, your pivotal role will involve propelling data-oriented decision-making throughout our organization. You will be responsible for guiding a team of skilled data scientists and collaborating with cross-functional groups to create advanced analytical solutions that provide actionable insights, elevating our products and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively engage in hands-on development, operationalization, and management of Machine Learning models and pipelines, aiming to enhance various Plaid products.
  • Consistently suggest and craft novel features designed to elevate the performance of AI/ML models.
  • Enhance the infrastructure for Machine Learning, fortifying the complete development lifecycle of ML solutions.
  • Address and resolve production-related challenges pertaining to Machine Learning within a multi-service environment and across various system levels.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners, pinpointing prospects for business growth. Interpret, refine, and prioritize requisites for AI/ML models, steer engineering choices, and evaluate the quantifiable influence.

Key Requirements

  • Hold a Master's degree (or PhD) in disciplines like Computer Science, AI, or any other related field.
  • Accumulate 4+ years of hands-on experience within domains like search algorithms, NLP, recommender systems, ads algorithms, and related areas.
  • Exhibit familiarity with one or more NLP/matching/ranking models, such as Bert, DSSM, LR, DIN, ESMM.
  • Prior experience in a leadership role or leading a development team is required.
  • Has experience in E-Commerce, Retail or Payments is a bonus.
