About the Role
MTX Group Inc. is seeking a motivated Lead ML Engineer/Technical Lead - AI to join our team. MTX Group Inc. is a global implementation partner enabling organizations to become fit enterprises. MTX provides expertise across various platforms and technologies, including Google Cloud, Salesforce, artificial intelligence/machine learning, data integration, data governance, data quality, analytics, visualization and mobile technology. MTX’s very own Artificial Intelligence platform Maverick, enables clients to accelerate processes and critical decisions by leveraging a Cognitive Decision Engine, a collection of purpose-built Artificial Neural Networks designed to leverage the power of Machine Learning. The Maverick Platform includes Smart Asset Detection and Monitoring, Chatbot Services, Document Verification, to name a few.
Responsibilities
- Extensive research and development of AI/ML models that enables learning the semantics of data from various domains (images, video, text, audio, structured data, etc.)
- Create Proof of Concepts to rapidly implement a new business use case
- Improving the existing ML and DNN models and products through R&D on cutting edge technologies and research on technical literature
- Collaborate with Engineering and Core team to drive innovation of scalable ML and AI serving production platforms
- Maintain and update production AI models based on feedback from stakeholders
- Define and implement evaluation strategies for each model, demonstrate applicability and performance of the model, and identify its limits
- Technical reviews of AI models and implementations and provide feedback, mentorship, and optimisation best practices to the team
- Lead a team of ML Engineers and Research Scientists and collaborate with project managers, research managers and stakeholders for guidance for reviews and demos
- Understand the strategic direction set by senior management, clearly communicate team goals, deliverables, and keep the team updated
- Experience in deployment using CI/CD pipeline, model performance and log monitoring
Requirements
- Bachelors or Masters degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, IT, Stats/Maths
- 4-6 years of experience in the field of artificial intelligence and demonstrated successful implementation if industry grade AI solutions in the past
- Experience in computer vision (semantic segmentation, instance segmentation, object detection, object tracking, pose estimation and image retrieval), document AI, structured ML, neural networks, natural language processing and other emerging areas in AI
- Programming experience in one or more of the following: Python (or other OOPs languages like C++, Java), R, and toolkits such as Tensorflow, Keras, PyTorch, SciKit
- Ability to lead a team of AI engineers in an agile development environment
- Ability to perform research that is justified and guided by business opportunities
- Good to have experience with GCP / Microsoft Azure / Amazon Web Services
- Good to have Experience in Databases like MongoDB/Elasticsearch/MySQL
- Good to have experience on MLOps methodologies and tools like Kubeflow / Airflow / TFX
