About The Role
To spearhead our commitment to being a future facing firm, using best in practice legal tech to support our colleagues and better serve our clients. To lead the new GenAI legal tech product capability including setting the strategy for how we can increase value in this category. This will include working with the practice groups, Product Managers for other categories, especially the Product Manager for AI and Document Review, the wider Innovation and Legal Operations & Project Management teams to create practice group implementation plans, learning & development materials, and practice specific use cases. This will also include working with lawyers across the business to create a super user network to further embed the use of these tools in practice.
Responsibilities:
- Working with senior stakeholders to help deliver the firm GenAI strategy from a product management perspective.
- Working with the Legal Tech R&D Manager to source and assess new systems for suitability.
- On-boarding and rolling out new GenAI products as they come in to the business.
- Providing training and support to lawyers and staff on how to use GenAI products effectively and efficiently.
- Maintaining the firm’s GenAI risk register entries, adding to and amending them as necessary.
- Being the technical subject matter expert in the use of GenAI tools on a range of client matters, to lead demos of these tools and suggest appropriate use cases for new matters.
- Defining the ideal workflow when interacting with GenAI platforms, from cradle to grave of matters and research, incorporating different users and stakeholders involved.
- Reviewing and updating use cases for when these tools should be considered on a matter, as well as developing specific use cases on a per tool, per practice group basis. To create a bank of case studies to help express value of the tool to new users.
- Reviewing and updating training materials for tools in the category, including e-learning opportunities, practice specific guidance notes and firm wide learning & development sessions.
- Collating value metrics of tools within this space to be able to express and quantify the benefits working with them can bring.
- Taking the lead on account management responsibilities, working with customer success teams from our suppliers as well as the CMS internal teams on technical requirements and sign off for functionality of the tools.
- Working with the Head of Legal Tech, taking the lead on supplier negotiations, on-boarding and renewals., as well as the budget process for the category.
- Facilitating creation of new CMS products incorporating the use of GenAI tools in practice, working with lawyers across the firm to develop the products and create marketing materials to pitch them to clients.
- Updating and maintaining pitch wording and language for how CMS express the use of GenAI to new clients, including case studies of how we have used them for current clients.
- Working alongside the legal technologists on the Legal Tech Tools Team, to help train them up on ideal working practices when working with lawyers and customising specific tools, to help them scope out new projects. To act as an escalation point should any issues arise where we need to work with the supplier to rectify.
- Keeping abreast of any market changes and new tools within the this space, working with the wider Legal Tech Product Team to consider for testing and piloting internally.
Qualifications & experience
- Experience working with senior stakeholders
- Good organisational skills to manage mixed role and busy workload
- Experience with project management would be a plus
- Strong meeting facilitation experience (with experience hosting workshops being ideal)
- Strong communications skills are essential
- Solution oriented and self-starter mindset is essential
