Join Hedingham AI - an early stage startup where your code, experience and input will save businesses millions of pounds in wasted advertising spend. Hedingham is building an AI-powered platform that tackles the challenge of analysing thousands of optimisation combinations across the largest ad networks every day in order to grow profit margins for our clients. Hedingham AI wants software engineers and data scientists to take ownership in our company (with meaningful stock options) and grow with us to build an AI toolset for eCommerce merchants to optimise how goods are bought and sold online.

The founding team at Hedingham are pragmatic eCommerce operators and understand the value of deep technical knowledge. You’ll be joining them to help shape & implement the company’s technical strategy. It’ll be a fast-paced environment as we’re in a period of growth, having recently secured funding and several early clients. We’ll be hiring a wider engineering team for you to lead over the next 12 months.
What we are looking for?
This opportunity is perfect for people who want to get in at the ground floor of a company and want to flex their deep technical skills in a career defining role. We’re open-minded about who applies and don’t believe in defining strict requirements. However being an early-stage startups means it’s important that everyone deeply understands what they're trying to build, who they're trying to build it for, and how to get there. You should be interested in the way products are built and comfortable to be proactive with your ideas and opinions! We want to talk to people who are UK based, have 100% completed their education (includes postgrads too) and have relevant commercial experience.
What will you do?
As an ML researcher/data scientist you’ll be using your mathematical and/or scientific background to solve optimisation problems in the world of online ads and shopping. We have large datasets for you to wrap your head around. It’s clean data and expect most of your time will be spent modelling. Our approach to ML is pragmatic; we build, measure and learn repeatedly. Ensuring the models we deploy provide true value to our clients.
Our current tech stack is a mix of Javascript and python, deployed on AWS infrastructure. We’re not dogmatic about our tooling, and expect you to contribute in selecting the right solutions for the task.
