About the Role

This Marketing Strategy and Operations role primarily manages global operations for the Developer Groundswell Program and supports Marketing AI Initiatives. Sitting at a critical intersection within the organization, you will be a part of a team that serves as the connective tissue between our technical (Builder Relations), growth (Revenue Marketing) and sales (Solution Architect) teams. You will be responsible for the systems and processes that enable developer engagement within MongoDB priority accounts. You will coordinate with Builder Relations, Revenue Marketing, and Sales to scale program reach globally. Additionally, you will oversee the deployment of an internal Marketing AI bot and lead knowledge-sharing sessions to improve team productivity through AI.

With both the developer groundswell and AI initiatives evolving, you will frequently operate in the "gray area." We are looking for a systems-thinker who thrives in ambiguous situations and views them as an opportunity to build and independently map out multiple teams’ needs and workflows and turn them into structured, scalable processes that benefit all cross-functional partners.

This role can be based out of our Dublin office or remotely in Ireland.

Responsibilities

Developer Groundswell Program Operations (80%)

  • Request Intake Management - Manage intake and scheduling for 500 globally distributed in-person (55%) and virtual (45%) program events. Own all supporting tooling configurations and scheduling coordination across multiple marketing teams
  • Resource Allocation - Develop and manage global Builder Relations travel strategy for staffing. Ensure Builder Relations staffing resources are allocated according to priority matrix
  • Operational Logistics - Own documentation, internal coordination and logistics for program’s virtual and in-person deliveries, from planning through execution and post-event reporting stages. Includes maintaining all internal playbooks, microsite resources, and enablement assets across Builder Relations, Revenue Marketing and Sales
  • Process and Systems Ownership - Own the relationship with Marketing Operations (MOps) to consistently track all Builder Relations led engagements, and improve reporting processes. In ambiguous or evolving scenarios, proactively identify operational bottlenecks and design clear, repeatable workflows—including leading the migration of relevant marketing teams onto Workfront—to optimize alignment and collaboration across technical, marketing, and sales teams
  • Program Analysis Support - Support team in analyzing program debrief data and reporting to identify successful tactics for replication, address operational gaps, and propose new experiments for future program iterations. Assist in creating program recommendation reports for cross-functional stakeholders and senior leadership

Marketing AI Initiatives (20%)

  • AI Technology Engineering Support - Coordinate with the AI Engineering team on the current state and technical improvements for an in-house developed Marketing Agentic bot that leverages Workato and Glean
  • Stakeholder Management and Onboarding - Act as the primary point of contact for marketing teams adopting the in-house AI bot. Navigate the ambiguity of early-stage AI adoption by utilizing and refining existing playbooks and documentation to continuously improve the onboarding and deployment experience, ensuring marketing teams can seamlessly integrate AI into their daily workflows
  • AI Showcases - Plan and facilitate regular sessions where marketing teams demonstrate their AI workflows. Manage the presentation schedule and ensure materials meet internal guidelines

Requirements

  • Experience - 5+ years in Marketing Operations, Program Management, or a related operational role
  • Navigating Ambiguity - A proven track record of operating successfully in fast-paced, ambiguous environments. Ability to map complex cross-functional dependencies independently, conceptualize and execute your own solutions, and align diverse teams to work more efficiently toward collective goals
  • Workflow Architecture - Strong systems-thinking capabilities with experience defining complex, multi-stakeholder needs and existing workflows and translating them into operational processes that provide clarity and efficiency for cross-functional teams
  • Global Operations - Experience managing logistics and programs across multiple regions (AMER, EMEA, LATAM, and APAC)
  • Communication - Ability to lead meetings with stakeholders from different departments and provide clear, data-backed updates to leadership
  • Organization - Ability to manage high-volume request queues and multiple project timelines simultaneously
  • AI Fluency (Preferred) – Practical understanding of how to apply AI tools to operational and marketing tasks to increase efficiency. Familiarity with Gemini, Glean, or custom agentic tools is a strong plus
  • Tool Tech Stack (Nice-to-Have) – Familiarity with work management, automation, and scheduling platforms. Experience with Adobe Workfront, Workato, Google Suite, Calendly, or Wrike is preferred, but not required—we value the ability to learn new systems quickly
