Your role

We are looking for a NLP/Gen Ai Engineer to:
- Specialize in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and generative AI techniques, focusing on enabling machines to comprehend and generate human language.
- Play a crucial part in creating solutions that involve unstructured data.
- Independently deliver innovative NLP/Gen AI solutions to solve some of the high impact / value projects.
- Partner and collaborate with the Business, Data Scientist, Machine Learning Engineers and IT teams across the organization to uncover business value using AI-powered solutions.
- Provide NLP/Gen AI driven solutions that will solve business problems and strengthen our position as digital leaders in financial services.
- Build machine learning models to provide business data insights or automated decisions.
- Analyze business requirements and design and implement proof-of-concepts / pilots and minimum viable products.
- Operationalize inhouse developed solutions in collaboration with various business and technical stakeholders.
- Ability to take deep-dive into new and emerging ML/AI research topics independently.

You will be stepping into an exciting role with our Gen AI Crew in India, which is part of the Group Emerging Technology (GET) at GOTO. Here, you'll delve into the fascinating realm of emerging technologies, contributing to the build-up of Gen AI capabilities. Not only will you be working on high-impact projects that bring substantial value to our company, but you will also be joining a global team with active pods in Singapore and Switzerland. As a key member of our new India Pod that is currently being established, you'll have the chance to make a real difference.
Your expertise
- Masters or Bachelors level degree in Computer Science or any related advanced quantitative discipline (analytics / data science background will be added advantage)
- In-depth experience and expertise in one or more areas like NLP, Gen AI, Knowledge Graph, Network Analysis, NLU, Sentiment, Speech-to-text.
- Hands-on working experience in Python scientific stack, SQL, UNIX/Linux systems for data wrangling, data analysis, modelling.
- MLOps and understanding of model's lifecycle is a plus.
- Experience on the Azure / AWS / GCP is a plus.
- Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
Excellent English language written and verbal communication skills.
