Lead cost estimating activities for complex programs, developing and maintaining cost estimating models, and providing expert analysis to support business decisions. Develop and maintain cost estimating models, including the development of cost estimating relationships and the application of these relationships to estimate costs for various program elements. Provide expert analysis to support business decisions, including the development of cost estimates and the analysis of cost data. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that cost estimating activities are aligned with program objectives and that cost estimates are accurate and reliable. Develop and maintain relationships with customers and stakeholders to ensure that cost estimating activities meet their needs and expectations. Provide training and guidance to less experienced cost estimators to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge necessary to perform their duties effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead cost estimating activities for complex programs, including the development and maintenance of cost estimating models.
  • Develop and maintain cost estimating relationships and apply these relationships to estimate costs for various program elements.
  • Provide expert analysis to support business decisions, including the development of cost estimates and the analysis of cost data.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, business, or economics.
  • 10+ years of experience in cost estimating, with a focus on complex programs.
  • Expert-level knowledge of cost estimating tools and techniques, including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, SQL, and Oracle.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and maintain complex cost estimating models.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
