About the Role
Meta Product Managers collaborate with cross-functional teams of engineers, designers, data scientists, and researchers to build innovative products. We are seeking highly entrepreneurial Product Managers who prioritize rapid iteration and execution. Product Managers in Artificial Intelligence (AI)/Machine Learning (ML) at Meta work with teams of engineers, world-class machine learning experts, designers, data scientists, researchers, and marketing managers to develop impactful products. We are looking for Product Managers who can move quickly, innovate, and drive product initiatives. This role encompasses various full-time positions across Facebook, Messenger, Instagram, and Reality Labs. Domain knowledge in AI/ML areas such as personalization, ranking, search, and content understanding is essential.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary driver for identifying significant opportunities and shaping product vision, strategies, and roadmaps in alignment with broader organizational goals.
- Understand Meta’s strategic and competitive landscape to deliver industry-leading products that align with our mission.
- Maximize efficiency within a constantly evolving environment, where processes are fluid and creative solutions are expected.
- Integrate data, research, and market analysis to inform product strategies and roadmaps.
- Plan, initiate, and manage information technology projects for web-based products and platforms.
- Lead the ideation, technical development, and launch of innovative tools, platforms, and/or products.
- Drive product development with world-class engineering and design teams, while fostering team health.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to define product vision and requirements, coordinate resources (e.g., design, legal), and guide the team through key milestones.
- Incorporate usability studies, research, and market analysis into product requirements to enhance engineer productivity and user satisfaction.
- Define and analyze metrics to assess product success and track key performance indicators.
Minimum Qualifications
- 8+ years of product management or related industry experience.
- Bachelor's degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Analytics, Mathematics, Physics, Applied Sciences, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in product management or product design.
- Familiarity with AI/ML technologies.
- Experience working in a technical environment with a broad, cross-functional team to drive product vision, define product requirements, coordinate resources from other groups (design, legal, etc.), and guide the team through key milestones.
- Experience delivering technical presentations.
- Experience analyzing complex, large-scale data sets and making data-driven decisions.
- Experience gathering requirements across diverse areas and users, and converting them into product solutions.
- Technical experience with analytical tools, methodologies, and design.
- Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and execution skills.
- Proven communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Deep experience in areas such as ads and content personalization, ranking, search, content understanding (computer vision, automatic speech recognition, text), and assistants.
- Experience defining vision and strategy for a product.
- Experience managing a full product lifecycle, integrating customer feedback into product requirements, driving prioritization, and pre/post-launch execution.
- Experience recruiting and leading a cross-functional team of world-class individuals.
- Enthusiastic and resilient in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm.
