About the Role
IMDA is spearheading Singapore’s drive to be a world leading Digital Economy. The Business Technology Group (BTG) within IMDA introduces innovative emerging technology assets to the local industry to catalyse digital transformation. We are looking for a Product Manager to own the end-to-end product journey of our technology solutions. In this role, you will work in cross-functional teams to oversee products from conceptualisation to launch.

In this role, you will:
- Keep abreast of emerging technologies such as generative AI, quantum-safe communications and trust technologies, and assess their impact on the industry.
- Monitor and benchmark new innovative solutions developed by the industry, and identify areas of development and collaboration partners in the ecosystem.
- Conduct requirements gathering and/or design thinking workshops with user companies to understand business-technology gaps. Identify a clear product vision and roadmap to plug these gaps jointly with engineering teams.
- Manage development process with engineering team, including timeline, prototyping, product backlogs, to ensure successful testing and acceptance by users.
- Chart the product directions, by identifying go-to-market strategies and extension of product to other sectors or use cases.
- Create matrix for reporting the success of the product, showcase the product at roadshows and key stakeholder management meetings.
About you:
- 5+ years of designing and shaping products and have passion to pick up new technology know-how in areas such as: 5G/6G, Quantum, Web 3.0, AI and cryptography.
- Sound technical foundation and ability to guide engineers to develop prototypes. Good understanding of the basics of system architecture, UI/UX, and how to build good software.
- You have equal balance between business and technology, with a passion in applying emerging technology to address impactful business challenges. Tinkering with new technologies and conceptualisation of new ideas with industry energises you.
- Strong communications and presentation skills, to manage business and tech conversations, and easily build meaningful relationships with senior stakeholders, engineers, businesses, and researchers.
- You can prioritise effectively – able to dive into detailed plans and tweak UIs, while keeping a pulse on the big picture and maintaining a sense of what is important.
- Good to have - Experience in wireframing tools (e.g., Figma, XD) and have demonstrated success in building realistic mock-ups and storytelling.
