About the Role

ShareChat/Moj user feeds comprise various components like ads, live streaming, and post lifecycle aspects. We are seeking experienced product professionals to address business challenges that require balancing multiple objectives. This includes decisions on when and how many ads to show, and the focus on post exploration and user interest. The ideal candidate will work with data scientists and engineers to build state-of-the-art AI/ML systems, understand various business unit goals to build systems that enable positive outcomes for multiple orthogonal objectives, and be comfortable with ambiguity, taking ownership to build 0-1 systems with large-scale real-world impact.

Skills/Experiences

Core Needs

  • User and data-focused mentality: Ability to convert problems or goals into measurable metrics.
  • Ability to identify metrics for tracking existing and new systems.
  • Ability to manage complex analysis, especially when a metric has multiple drivers.
  • Fantastic communicator: Able to work cross-functionally with business stakeholders, empathizing with the goals of various internal teams to ensure the right trade-offs are made.
  • Hungry to learn and evolve: Continuously push into new challenges across leadership skills, data analysis, product craft, process, industry, and market trends.

Good to have

  • Experience in managing or working in a feed-driven product.
  • Ability to convert trade-offs in product decisions to business metrics/value.
  • At least 2+ years of experience in quantitative and/or qualitative methods.
  • Background in User Research or Data Science with practical skills.
  • Understanding the role and importance of qualitative and quantitative methodologies and when to deploy them.
