Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deliver features in Linux Operating Systems for generic and s390 (zSystems) architectures
- Perform problem determination and source identification in operating system environments
- Collaborate with the Linux Kernel community (Kernel.org) to contribute to open-source projects
- Understand and optimize hardware, firmware, OS, and application interface layers for seamless integration
- Leverage hardware and firmware capabilities to create architecture-specific and agnostic features
- Ensure end-users can fully utilize hardware platform and microprocessor potential
Requirements
- Proficiency in Python and Linux environments
- Strong understanding of operating systems and kernel development
- Experience with problem determination and debugging in complex systems
- Familiarity with open-source tools like GitHub and Linux editors
- Ability to work collaboratively with global open-source communities
