About the AI Research Division
Since 2021, KRAFTON has identified deep learning as a new area to expand its game production capabilities and continue new challenges, focusing on research in this field. To fully activate this, we are actively investing, including recruiting key talent.
AI Research Division Vision
The KRAFTON AI Research Division collaborates with various internal and external fields to provide AI solutions for diverse problems and develops its own services through proprietary deep learning technology research. The direction is largely twofold:
- Development of deep learning technology that can assist in game production to increase efficiency and universality.
- Development of Multi-modal LLM-based Foundation Models that can play games with users.
Foundation Model R&D
The Foundation Model Research team researches and develops core MLLM technologies based on the vision of the AI Research Division, contributing to creating new play experiences.
- Designs and builds foundation models that handle various data such as text, images, audio, and game logs.
- Accumulates theoretical and practical insights across model architecture, learning algorithms, data pipelines, and the entire evaluation process in large-scale distributed learning environments.
Culture Fit
Members of the AI Research Division interact and collaborate with team members from various fields through diverse projects, proposing creative ideas for various problems. An atmosphere that encourages free expression of opinions regardless of age and position is promoted. Members from diverse cultural backgrounds form teams, and methods to overcome language barriers, such as interpretation and translation, are actively supported for lively communication.
