SAP data migration leadership experience
Scope of Responsibility •
The role covers SAP data migration activities across the full delivery lifecycle, including:
• Data migration strategy and execution
• Object-level data mapping and validation
• Mock loads, reconciliation, and defect resolution
• Cutover data readiness and execution
• Post-go-live data stabilisation
Key Accountabilities
• Data Migration Execution Ensure data migration activities are executed in line with the approved migration strategy, SAP Best Practices, and delivery standards, covering master data, transactional data, and historical balances as required.
• SAP Activate & Governance Execute data migration activities in line with SAP Activate methodology, ensuring appropriate controls, approvals, and quality gates are followed throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Data Quality & Reconciliation Validate migrated data through detailed reconciliation between legacy systems, SAP, and downstream systems, ensuring financial and operational data integrity.
• Cutover & Go-Live Readiness Support cutover planning and execution, including mock loads, dress rehearsals, and final migration cycles, ensuring data readiness for go-live.
Required Experience & Capability
• Proven SAP data migration leadership experience
• Experience with SAP Data Migration Cockpit and Private Cloud migration tools
• Strong reconciliation, data governance, and cutover experience
• SAP Activate delivery experience
• Retail or complex enterprise data environments
Measures of Success
• Accurate, complete, and reconciled migrated data
• Successful execution of cutover migration cycles
• Minimal data-related issues post go-live
• Strong auditability and governance compliance
