Role Purpose: This role is accountable for the accurate configuration, validation, and
stabilisation of SAP Materials Management (MM) processes within S/4HANA programmes
delivered in Public and Private Cloud environments. The role ensures procure-to-pay
functionality performs reliably and integrates correctly with inventory, warehouse, and finance
processes. This role is execution-focused and operates within defined design and governance
guardrails.
Scope of Responsibility
The role covers SAP MM execution activities across the full delivery lifecycle, including:
• SAP S/4HANA MM configuration and validation
• Fit-to-Standard / Fit-to-Design delivery support
• Procure-to-pay testing and defect resolution
• Inventory and valuation alignment
• Cutover, go-live, and hypercare stabilisation
Key Accountabilities
• MM Solution Execution
Ensure SAP S/4HANA MM configuration aligns with approved designs, SAP Best Practices,
and delivery standards, supporting stable procurement and inventory operations across
environments.
• SAP Activate & Governance
Execute responsibilities in line with SAP Activate methodology, supporting Fit-to-Standard
(Public Cloud) and Fit-to-Design (Private Cloud), while operating strictly within clean-core,
extensibility, and change-control guardrails.
• Quality & Testing
Validate MM process behaviour through testing, support root-cause analysis and defect
resolution, and ensure MM processes are stable and release-ready prior to go-live.
• Data & Inventory Integrity
Validate inventory and valuation data, perform reconciliation across SAP and dependent
systems, and support cutover readiness.
• Retail & Logistics Integration Alignment
Ensure accurate integration with SD, WM/EWM, and Finance, resolving procurement and
inventory discrepancies.
• Cutover, Go-Live & Stabilisation
Support MM cutover execution, go-live activities, and post-go-live stabilisation.
• Delivery Discipline
Provide clear delivery status and risk visibility, escalate issues appropriately, and maintain
delivery evidence.
Required Experience & Capability
• Proven SAP MM functional experience, including S/4HANA
• SAP Activate delivery experience
• Retail, consumer, or supply-chain-focused environments
• Public and/or Private Cloud exposure

• Stable procure-to-pay execution
• Accurate inventory and valuation results
