Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior AI Engineer located in the Johannesburg Metropolitan Area. The Senior AI Engineer will design, develop, and implement AI-driven solutions with a focus on software reliability. Day-to-day responsibilities include building and fine-tuning machine learning models, working with neural networks, applying natural language processing techniques, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance Zof AI’s real-time validation infrastructure. The ideal candidate will contribute to the innovation of Zof AI’s reliability-focused tools and processes while advancing cutting-edge software engineering practices.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Pattern Recognition and Neural Networks, with a strong understanding of their applications in real-world scenarios
- Proficiency in Software Development and a solid foundation in Computer Science principles
- Hands-on experience in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and related AI methodologies
- Strong problem-solving skills and a demonstrated ability to work on complex projects
- Experience with modern AI tools, frameworks, and deployment of AI models
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work within cross-functional teams
- Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field is a strong advantage
- Experience with software reliability, system testing automation, or distributed systems is a plus
