It is fully funded and backed up by VNG Corporation (https://vng.com.vn), the only Unicorn in Vietnam. The Co-Founders are experienced and proven leaders in AI and Cloud, with a number of years of experience working in blue-chip technology companies like IBM, Accenture, Cisco, Nutanix, etc. CloudVerse’s leadership team is based out of Singapore and Bangalore, whereas the engineering talent is largely from VNG Headquarters in Vietnam – bringing in the best of the talents on both sides of the business and technology. CloudVerse is working on building a Multi-cloud marketplace and management platform to help solve the numbers and growing challenges faced by all Developers and all sizes of businesses using multi-cloud.
About the Role
To help build a world-class multi-cloud product, the company is seeking an AI/ML Lead. Experimentation is at the core of what you do. The role is to lead the team's efforts to turn business questions into data analysis effectively and provide meaningful recommendations and help develop the right software features. This is a unique hybrid role that will focus on your knowledge of cloud infrastructure and your ability to drive insights.
Responsibilities
- Apply and develop ML and AI technologies to solve cloud infrastructure challenges.
- Cleaning, managing, extracting, and pre-processing data (cloud utilization and cost) from various sources having different formats (text, JSON, XML, etc.).
- Design and develop machine learning algorithms.
- Perform explanatory data analyses.
- Generate and test working hypotheses.
- Research and analyze various data sources and automate processes.
- Perform pre-processing of structured and unstructured data.
- Review large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns.
- Create predictive models and machine-learning algorithms.
- Modify and combine different models through ensemble modeling.
- Organize and present information using data visualization techniques.
- Develop and suggest solutions and strategies to business challenges.
- Work together with engineering and product development teams to build and test ML/DL solutions stretching the entire spectrum of ML operationalization from data processing, model training, hyperparameter tuning, deployment, and model management.
- Apply and implement synthetic data generation and data augmentation.
- Develop product/market requirements specifications with UX design to get the features implemented by working with the Engineering team.
Requirements
Essential Education / Qualifications / Experience
- University or advanced degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, AI/ML, and/or a related field.
Must-Have Skills
- 8+ years’ experience developing and deploying machine learning systems into production.
- Experience with at least two cloud provider offerings in-depth (AWS, GCP, Azure, Tencent, Ali, Huawei).
- Experience with ML Frameworks - Pytorch, TensorFlow, Pandas, scikit-learn, or such.
- Strong experience working with big data tools: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.
- Strong experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python, Java, C++, Scala, etc.
- Ability to work in a Linux environment.
- Demonstrated research capability via a good publication record in the relevant areas.
- Self-driven and highly motivated.
- Excellent project and time management skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Outstanding problem-solving and analytical skills.
Good to Have Skills
- Good research record with publications in top conferences and journals.
- Knowledge of state-of-the-art ANN, DNN, Big data, and related subjects.
- Knowledge and experience in GPU-based computation.
- Creative vision and thinking.
