About the Role
We are looking for an outstanding Senior Backend Engineer to join our team in Madrid. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining the backend infrastructure that powers our platform. You will work on exciting projects that impact millions of users globally, contributing to the success of our mission to democratize access to culture and entertainment.
What you will do
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance backend services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Ensure the reliability, security, and efficiency of our systems.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving our development processes.
- Troubleshoot and debug production issues.
- Mentor junior engineers and share your expertise.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Backend Engineer, with a strong focus on building scalable and robust applications.
- Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: Python, Golang, Java, PHP, Ruby, or Node.js.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Solid understanding of database systems (SQL and NoSQL).
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or serverless architectures is a plus.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and monitoring tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Experience with Git and Agile development methodologies.
- Fluency in English.
