We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior Computer Vision Data Scientist to join our team and help us drive the next phase of growth.
Job Description
The Senior CV Data Scientist will play a critical role in our company’s continued success. This individual will work with a cross-functional team of engineers, data scientists, and product managers to develop and implement computer vision algorithms to process and analyze large amounts of geo-tagged time series of satellite and drone image data.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement computer vision algorithms to process and analyze large amounts of satellite and drone image data.
- Work with cross-functional teams to integrate computer vision algorithms into our company’s products and services.
- Collaborate with data engineers and product managers to develop and maintain data pipelines for processing large amounts of image data.
- Use ML Cloud services to build and deploy MLOPs pipeline.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest computer vision, machine learning and deep learning techniques and technologies.
- Collaborate with the Data Engineering & Geographic Information Systems (GIS) team to develop and implement predictive models to support product development and decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, Remote Sensing or a related STEM field.
- 5+ years of experience in computer vision and/or remote sensing, deep learning and classical machine learning applications.
- Strong Python coding skills is must (having experience in competitive programming is a bonus e.g., good profiles/leaderboard positions in platforms such as Leetcode/Hackerrank).
- Demonstrated capabilities in Data Science related coding is a plus e.g. good leaderboard positions in Kaggle, Analytics Vidhya hackathons or winners in KDD/ CIKM/ NIPS coding challenges.
- Solid hands-on experience with Deep Learning packages such as PyTorch or Tensorflow is a must.
- Good theoretical understanding and hands on experience on Deep Learning models (e.g., Vision Transformers, CNNs, RCNNs, Capsnets, etc.) and libraries (e.g., OpenCV, scikit-image) is a must.
- Basic R&D skills such as reading, interpreting and critically analysing research papers, doing literature surveys, etc.
- Good sense of ownership and a learning attitude.
- Experiences in collaborative software development/DevOPs/MLOPs with tools such as GitHub, Jira, Confluence, Dockers and its interfacing with cloud-based notebook environments like AWS and GCP will be an advantage.
