About the Role
As a Generative AI Platform Engineer at GenAI CoE within SAP's Intelligent Enterprise Solutions (IES), you will be part of the expansive Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Big Data (DAB) division. You will collaborate with a global team of AI engineers, scientists, and product managers across Europe, India, and Singapore. Responsibilities
- Work alongside a team of engineers, product owners, and domain experts.
- Develop Large Language Model Platform-as-a-Service with product engineering teams, using SAP Business Technology Platform.
- Maintain production systems to ensure high availability and performance.
- Perform root cause analysis to resolve system issues.
- Lead end-to-end product development, including architecture design.
- Experiment and deploy various Large Language Models, such as AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex, Azure OpenAI, and Huggingface models.
- Guide other engineers in terms of development practices.
- Upskill for the latest advancements in machine learning and GenAI technologies and evaluate their potential applications in business processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in fullstack development.
- Proficiency in one or more of these programming languages: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python.
- Proficiency in development tools such as Git.
- Proficiency in web application development frameworks such as NodeJS, FastAPI, SAP UI5, React.
- Proficiency in deployment tools such as Docker or Kubernetes.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently with ownership, and as part of a team with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Proficiency in application development using Generative AI (e.g., Langchain, RAG, LLM agents) is a plus.
- Experience with app deployment on SAP Business Technology Platform is a plus.
- Experience working in Agile settings (e.g., tools like Jira) is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
