About the team

NVIDIA’s Hardware Engineering team is looking for a Senior Hardware Design Engineer to contribute to the next generation of high-speed board designs. Our team is a diverse group of engineers who build server and system level boards for various product areas like DGX, HGX, and GeForce, as well as new products like Autonomous Vehicles and Robotics. We work closely with Architects, ASIC, ME, FW, SW and Operations teams. We welcome candidates who are passionate about learning and contributing to the design and development of cutting-edge hardware.

What you'll be doing:

  • Board level design, schematic capture, and layout supervision.
  • Working on new features, new products, improving existing designs and processes.
  • Hands on system bring-up, debug and validation.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
  • Working with a broad range of technology, including high speed memory (DDR4/5), PCIe (Gen4/5/6), 112G Serdes, VRM, and other power distribution networks.
  • Developing, designing, modifying, and evaluating electronic parts, components, or integrated circuitry for hardware equipment and/or other hardware systems.

What we need to see:

  • B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in hardware design, including high-speed board design.
  • Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout tools (OrCAD, Allegro, Cadence).
  • Experience with high speed interfaces like DDR, PCIe, and Serdes.
  • Hands-on experience with lab equipment for board bring-up, debug, and test (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters).
  • Self-motivated, excellent communication skills and a team player.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Experience with Xilinx or Altera FPGAs.
  • Experience with large server or system board designs.
