Job brief:
We are looking for an operations analyst to join our “Business Operations and Strategy Analytics (BOSA)” team in Flex Corporate Strategy. The operations analyst will evaluate key metrics of business, supply chain, customer insights, and manufacturing operations, and make recommendations to improve efficiency.
The successful candidate should be able to analyze complex data sets, identify shortcomings or opportunities, and work with management and employees to implement changes. An outstanding operations analyst should be able to advise staff on all levels and develop new processes and workflows to enhance operations.
This position requires strong financial analysis skills, attention to detail, positive professional attitude, and ability to work in a team environment.
What a typical day looks like:
- Gathers and analyzes company data and market research, to identify business opportunities. Gathering information by observing workflows, internal reports, reading company reports, conducting employee interviews, etc.
- Identifying operational requirements and opportunities for improvement
- Help solve internal problems and implement goal-oriented strategies
- Effortlessly manipulate large amounts of noisy data to answer new questions for the team and the business
- Forecast the results of multiple solutions before determining the most effective option
- Extract actionable insights from data to tell clear, concise, and compelling stories
- Interviews employees across departments to collect insights
- Talking with stakeholders about potential concerns and identifying the source of the issue. These operational problems can range from cost issues to supply chain and production concerns
- Work closely with executive management to achieve outcomes based on company goals
- Collaborate with other analysts, researchers, and project managers. Work closely with the sales, marketing, finance, and technology teams
- Writes monthly reports with key findings, analysis, and recommendations. Presents monthly reports to decision-makers on key findings and assessments
- Recommends ways to increase revenue, decrease costs, and improve efficiency
- Helps departmental leaders implement new policies, procedures, and processes
- Enhance workflow and cross-departmental engagements
- Establishing and maintaining quality standards
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- 10+ years of experience as an operations analyst or in a similar position
- Previous experience working in a global organization/professional services firm is preferred
- Experience within the consulting industry is a plus
- Strong business acumen
- Consulting and project management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and detail-oriented aptitude
- A high degree of accuracy and strong attention to detail is required
- Domain experience in any fields such as Finance, Treasury, Audit, Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing, Procurement, HR, etc.
- Demonstrated Business Operations analytical expertise, including the ability to synthesize complex data, effectively manage complex analyses, and understand of opportunities and limitations of analytical techniques
- Experience using statistical and database software
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Exposure to specialized reporting and data visualization tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, Zoho, etc.
- Ability to manage time effectively, set priorities and meet deadlines
- Excellent organizational skills
- Good interpersonal skills to work with different management levels
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision
- A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, operations, analytics, or a related major is required
- MBA or master’s degree in business, finance, economics, operations, analytics, or a related major
