About the Role
As a Sr. Product Manager on the Machine Learning Experience (MLX) Product team, you will be part of the ML Feature Platform Development Team designing and delivering a best in class MLOps product for Capital One Data Scientists. This team is focused on building a unified experience for creating, registering, and discovering data sets used to train ML models critical to our one-of-a-kind banking experiences for customers and businesses. We are passionate about building platform software that powers the next generation of data science at Capital One and are looking for someone excited to build something from the ground up in a nascent MLOps space.
This role represents the needs of the customer to inform the platform roadmap ensuring the capabilities being delivered are aligned with the intended business outcomes. You will be responsible for feature definition and partnering with tech teams to deliver platform components. The ideal candidate for this role is passionate about technology and deeply empathizes with internal and external customer needs. They are comfortable in conversation with engineering teams as well as stakeholders ranging from data scientists to senior leaders.
Specific Responsibilities
- Develop and communicate the product vision and strategy for key components of the platform.
- Responsible for a team of direct reporting product managers.
- Deeply understand the needs of data scientists and engineers across Capital One.
- Prioritize the Product Backlog to maximize business and customer outcomes.
- Incorporate design thinking and analytics to inform product design.
- Enable collaboration and ensure communication between teams.
- Maintain a healthy backlog of work and play a critical role in many agile ceremonies.
- Support the team with escalation and resolution of impediments.
- Serve as the connection between customers, Capital One’s mission, and your team.
Candidate Profile

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
- At least 5 years of experience in product management or at least 5 years of experience in product design, agile delivery, business analysis, data science, or software engineering
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
- MBA or Master’s degree
- 3+ years of experience in Agile product management
- 2 years of people leadership experience leading product manager teams
