Responsibilities
- As the Senior Product Manager of Generative AI at MongoDB, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the development and implementation of our generative AI initiatives.
- You will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating various programs that leverage generative AI technologies across different departments within the company.
- The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of AI methodologies, a strong track record of leading cross-functional teams, and a passion for advancing the state-of-the-art in generative AI.
- The GenAI Senior Product Manager will work closely with stakeholders across all parts of the business including TechOps, Engineering, Product, GTM, Partners / Cloud Marketplace teams, Cloud Engineering/Billing, Finance/Accounting, Legal, Deal Strategy, Marketing Operations, Customer Success, Sales Operations and Business Operations teams to execute growth projects, new products and features, and operational efficiency projects leveraging AI.
- This role will work closely with our C-suite. You will need to work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds and have a proven track record of breaking down complex problems into steps that drive product development.
- Our product managers must be just as technical and have working knowledge in these areas to better advocate for our users; while not expected to write production code, you should be comfortable diving into new code, learning from existing examples, understanding prompt engineering, building domain-specific models leveraging (ideally) vector search, and/or experience with fine tuning LLMs.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in product management, co-founder, or related technical role.
- 3 years spent building and shipping technical products, ideally with examples building artificial intelligence use cases, machine learning capabilities, deep learning algorithms, real-time data processing, and/or responsible AI.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and driving results.
- The ability to communicate complex technical issues simply and convincingly to a wide range of audiences.
- Experience with Agile SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), particularly in your ability to break down complex programs into smaller, manageable increments and executing on functional pieces of software with each iteration.
- Ability to distill customer use cases and requirements, write comprehensive business cases and execute on them.
- A passion for Generative AI, always seeking to understand the latest innovations, and thinking about ways to implement and improve upon what we’ve built.
- Strong understanding of generative AI methodologies, including GANs, VAEs, and other relevant approaches.
- Apply judgment to determine whether, where, and how to apply AI/ML to products.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and propose effective solutions.
- Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, capable of conveying technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with industry best practices, ethical considerations, and regulatory frameworks related to AI technology.
- B.Sc. degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field.
