About the team
NVIDIA is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our GPU Cloud Services team. Our team is at the forefront of building cloud software and services that power NVIDIA's GPU cloud infrastructure, enabling researchers and developers to access and utilize NVIDIA's cutting-edge GPU technology.
What you'll be doing:
- Design and implement highly scalable, performant, and reliable cloud services and APIs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, develop, and deploy new features and services.
- Contribute to the architecture and design of our cloud platform, ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability.
- Optimize existing services for performance, cost-efficiency, and fault tolerance.
- Participate in on-call rotation and incident response to ensure high availability of our services.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence.
What we need to see:
- BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on cloud services and distributed systems.
- Strong proficiency in Go or Python.
- Experience with container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
- Solid understanding of REST APIs and gRPC.
- Experience with building and operating microservices in a cloud environment.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems concepts, including consistency, fault tolerance, and concurrency.
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
- Experience with networking and Linux systems.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
- Experience with public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with GPU computing and accelerated computing frameworks.
- Contributions to open-source projects.
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, Ansible).
