About the Role

Tomorrow.io's Customer Team enables weather-sensitive industries like aviation, logistics, supply chain, public sector, energy, and field operations to operate efficiently despite weather challenges. We are seeking a Senior Solution Architect (AI Solutions) to enhance our solution design for customers and improve internal team operations. This role demands a professional capable of bridging business priorities, technical architecture, enablement, automation, and applied AI.

Approximately half of this role involves customer-facing solution work, where you will collaborate closely with solution engineers to support discovery, validate feasibility, shape solution designs for strategic or complex opportunities, and ensure commitments are thoughtful, realistic, and supportable. You will serve as a senior architecture partner and escalation point for deeper design or technical judgment, complementing the solution engineer's day-to-day technical leadership with customers. The other half focuses internally on developing tools, automations, reusable assets, technical playbooks, and AI-enabled workflows to empower sales, account management, business development, and governance teams to work faster, better, and more consistently.

What You’ll Do:

  • Partner with Solution Engineers on strategic and complex customer opportunities to shape scalable, supportable solution designs while maintaining strong alignment between customer commitments and technical feasibility.
  • Design end-to-end customer solutions including integrations, APIs, automation workflows, AI-enabled processes, data flows, and phased implementation approaches.
  • Provide senior technical oversight and architectural guidance on high-impact or non-standard deals, helping teams navigate tradeoffs, risks, and implementation realities.
  • Create architecture diagrams, technical documentation, implementation guidance, and executive-ready materials to support customer engagements and internal decision-making.
  • Build internal tools, automations, reusable templates, accelerators, and AI-driven workflows that improve operational efficiency across sales, account management, business development, and governance teams.
  • Identify workflow friction points and develop practical solutions through automation, improved processes, reusable assets, and lightweight applications.
  • Establish reusable solution patterns, architecture standards, playbooks, and implementation frameworks that improve consistency and scalability across teams.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to surface recurring customer needs, operational inefficiencies, and product gaps that should influence roadmap priorities.
  • Improve execution quality across customer and internal operations by balancing technical ambition with delivery realism, long-term supportability, and scalability.
  • Enable teams to move faster and operate more effectively through stronger technical guidance, repeatable best practices, and AI-enhanced workflows.

What You Bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in Enterprise SaaS solution architecture, solutions engineering, technical consulting, enterprise implementation, automation development, or related roles combining technical depth with business enablement.
  • Strong expertise designing solutions involving APIs, integrations, cloud platforms, distributed systems, automation, data pipelines, and multi-system workflows.
  • Experience translating ambiguous business or customer requirements into practical technical architectures, implementation plans, and scalable solutions.
  • Ability to partner cross-functionally with sales, solution engineering, account management, governance, product, engineering, and post-sales teams.
  • Hands-on familiarity with AI technologies, LLM workflows, agentic systems, prompt orchestration, or AI-powered productivity and automation use cases.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including architecture documentation, technical storytelling, executive summaries, and enablement materials.
  • Proven ability to balance innovation with feasibility, ensuring solutions are realistic, supportable, and aligned with delivery capacity.
  • Experience building or supporting internal tools, workflow automations, technical playbooks, customer proposals, proof-of-concepts, or implementation frameworks.
  • Working knowledge of technologies such as Python, SQL, JavaScript, or similar tools used for prototyping, integrations, automation, and data analysis.
  • Comfortable operating in fast-moving environments and ideally familiar with operational intelligence, or industries such as aviation, logistics, supply chain, energy, public sector, or field operations.

Tech Stack:

  • Cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • REST APIs, JSON, webhooks, and event-driven integration patterns
  • Data workflows, orchestration tools, and system architecture design
  • LLM-based tooling, AI workflow builders, copilots, or agent frameworks
  • Documentation and diagramming tools such as Lucidchart, Miro, Notion, or similar
