As a Human Factors Engineer, you will apply your knowledge of human behavior, performance, and engineering principles to design and evaluate user experiences for complex systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate human factors risks, and develop solutions that meet the needs of diverse users. Your expertise will be applied to a wide range of systems, including command and control systems, communication systems, and other critical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct user research and analysis to identify human factors risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Design and evaluate user interfaces, user experiences, and user-centered design solutions.
- Develop and implement human factors engineering standards and guidelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate human factors engineering into system design and development.
- Conduct usability testing and other forms of user research to validate design solutions.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Human Factors Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in human factors engineering, user experience design, or a related field.
- Proven expertise in human factors engineering principles, user experience design, and usability testing.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience with design tools, such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD.
