Unlikely AI is a deep tech startup dedicated to creating a world where highly intelligent automated systems enable humanity to flourish. We are pioneering transformative technology aimed at making Artificial Intelligence more accurate, trustworthy, and safe. Taking a contrarian approach, we believe our technology can solve some of the most pressing problems facing the industry. Based in London, the company was founded by William Tunstall-Pedoe, known for his key role in the creation of Alexa. We have raised a large ($20m) seed round and are building a world-class technology team to realize the extraordinary possibilities of our novel and potentially revolutionary AI platform and associated applications.
About the Role
We are seeking extremely smart and dedicated Software Developers of all levels of experience to help solve very difficult engineering problems. We are looking for exceptional people who are willing to tackle some of the most difficult technical challenges to create something extraordinary with huge impact.
Requirements
- Degree within a related field, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Maths or equivalent
- Experience within commercial software engineering (or extensive experience if applying for a more senior role)
- Exceptional coding ability
- Desire to solve really difficult software engineering problems
- Ability or desire to learn and code in Java
- Understanding of modern best practices for agile software development
- Understanding of the architectural techniques needed to build massively-scalable systems
Desirable but not required
- 4+ years of experience with Java
- Experience of AWS and building scalable systems within it
- Experience and ability coding in Python and C++
- Understanding of the state-of-the-art in Artificial Intelligence
- Understanding of modern machine-learning techniques
Location
We operate a hybrid scheme with a small office near Holborn tube station available. We also have occasional team days where everyone meets face to face and days where people work heads down from home, communicating with colleagues using Slack and Zoom.
