Data Science Team
The data science team operates under the Technology Excellence Group at Talentica Software. This team's primary objective is to solve problems and develop algorithms that are data-driven, focusing on areas such as statistics, optimization, computer vision, machine learning, and natural language processing.
About the Role
Talentica Software is seeking to hire a Data Scientist with comprehensive experience in various machine learning domains and the flexibility to work across a broad spectrum of ML applications.
Requirements
Mandatory Skills
- Excellent programming skills, with the ability to implement complex algorithms in Python.
- Extensive understanding of ML and statistical algorithms.
- Hands-on experience with standard machine learning libraries such as OpenCV, Tensorflow, Keras, etc.
- Big data experience, with proficiency in SQL/NoSQL DBs like Mongo/Cassandra/PostgreSQL/Neo4J.
- Capability to convert Proof-of-Concept (PoC) into production-quality code and subsequent deployment.
Good to have
- Credited courses focused on linear algebra, stochastic models, pattern recognition, design and analysis of algorithms, machine learning.
- Interest in applications of Deep learning, including computer vision algorithms for video, shape recognition, matching & retrieval.
- Some exposure to statistical modeling.
Experience
- Should have worked in the industry for at least 6-9 years.
- Should thrive in a startup environment.
- Capable of translating theoretical concepts into practical applications by reviewing relevant research papers.
- Able to conceive original ideas and implement them as working algorithms.
- Should have successfully taken at least 2 products to production end-to-end.
Education
BE/B.Tech from IIT, NIT, BITS Pilani, COEP (Pune), VJTI, IIT-BHU or ISM.
