As a Staff Backend Engineer on our Core Product team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the backend systems that power our product. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize features, and collaborate with other engineers to ensure seamless integration with our frontend and data infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable, efficient, and reliable backend systems using Python, Node.js, and Machine Learning technologies.
- Collaborate with data engineers to integrate with our data infrastructure and ensure data consistency and accuracy.
- Work with product managers to identify and prioritize features, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of our codebase.
- Develop and maintain automated testing and deployment scripts to ensure smooth deployment and rollback of changes.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in backend engineering, with a focus on Python, Node.js, and Machine Learning.
- Strong understanding of cloud-based infrastructure, with experience working on AWS.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug complex issues and optimize system performance.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g. Git).
